Over the years, I've gained increasing appreciation for and trust in the wisdom of the group. It's both a pleasure and a privilege to have students as critical members of my own learning community. AGS students are one very wise group!"

What Brought You to Adlerian Psychology?
"Paula Hemming, the coordinator of the Professional Life Coaching series, suggested that I apply to become an adjunct faculty member at Adler. She has always modeled the best of Adlerian encouragement," says Bev. "Paula threw out the line, and then Dr. Roger Ballou's passion for all things Adlerian 'set the hook' during his Introduction to Adlerian Psychology class."

Bev is drawn to the positive, compassionate and empowering nature of Adlerian Psychology. "The world could come a long way if we supported people in their search to belong and contribute," she says.

And that is some of what The Legacy Center, of which she is Cofounder and Principal, does. The center helps individuals, organizations, and communities identify and preserve their non-financial legacies - those stories, values, lessons learned and questions asked, that are so important to share with current and future generations. "As Adler taught, we do not exist outside the social network," says Bev. "At The Legacy Center, we believe that every person is important to this world. What might be possible if all people really 'got' how much their lives mattered - if they really understood that their stories, no matter now ordinary they seem to them, can have an extraordinary impact on others?"
