Laurie A. Willhite, Pharm.D., RP.h.

Laurie Willhite is a Certified Specialist in Poison Information for the Hennepin Regional Poison Center , Minneapolis . For 10 years she was employed as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Psychiatry at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis . She remains an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. She also provides consultant services to drug information publishing companies.

Laurie has taught Psychopharmacology at the Adler Graduate School since 1999. She finds that teaching inpatients about their drugs enables her to provide her students with the patient's perspective about their medications. "I hope to bring a great deal of real-world experience regarding psychiatric drugs to my students," says Laurie.
