Wes Wingett formerly was a faculty member and the Program Director for the School Counseling Program at the Adler Graduate School. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. Dr. Wingett has been a counselor in private practice since 1978 in Norfolk, Nebraska providing counseling to individuals, couples and families. He also acts as a consultant to schools, health care facilities, businesses and industries. In addition, Dr. Wingett offers workshops across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Dr. Wingett brings experience, enthusiasm, and extensive preparation to his teaching. "I have been involved in the education process in various capacities as a teacher, counselor or administrator since 1964," he notes. "I have developed a model of Adlerian-based classroom management and curriculum design and delivery that I use as a guideline for both the teaching and learning process."
Speaking about what initially piqued his interest in Adler, Dr. Wingett says, "I was influenced as a graduate student more by the style and attitudes of Adlerian Psychology, as exemplified by a former professor at the University of Wyoming , Dr. Bill Edwards, than the theory of Individual Psychology." Dr. Wingett subsequently studied with a number of other Adlerians and attended over 20 Adlerian conferences in the United States, Canada, and Ireland. His counseling, consultation and teaching work are each grounded in the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler.
