Thomas Wright, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has been a faculty member at Adler since it was founded as the Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota in 1968. He has taught Fundamentals of Adlerian Psychology, Lifestyle Analysis, Marriage, Family and Group Therapy. He has presented papers at NASAP conventions as well as for the Minnesota Chapter of American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

He and his wife Judy share a private counseling practice in Golden Valley, Minnesota. As a team, Tom and Judy have lectured, taught and conducted seminars and workshops in the Midwest and Canada. For many years they conducted The Saturday Morning Forum, a low cost, open to the public drop-in education experience.

Tom began his career as a hospital chaplain and a United Methodist Minister. He wrote a weekly newspaper column for many years called The Wright Way. Materials from these columns were later turned into two books, Questions and Answers on Marriage and Will My Child Grow Up Okay? He has written two other books, Daily Meditations for Parenting Our Kids and Raising Children One Day at a Time!

Tom and Judy are frequents guests on the Mary Hanson Show, an award winning cable TV program dealing with mental health topics. At one time they had their own call-in radio talk program.

Tom has taught continuing education workshops for mental health professionals on such topics as shame, codependency, coping with conflict, blended families, counseling techniques, stress management and burnout, Narrative Therapy and Early Recollections, and most recently, dealing with the spiritual dimension in psychotherapy. Tom is currently teaching both individual and group didactic.
