Description: The population is chemically dependant people and thier spouses/partners, parents, siblings or children. The outpatient clients are usually referred by probation. The residential clients are usually in the locked unit on commitment due to endangering thier lives because of alcohol or other drug use that has led to cirrhosis, pancreatitis or other medical conditions, or because their use increases tier depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder to the degree that they have repeated hospitalizations. A dual recovery model is used and education about mental helath conditions and how chemical use itneracts is provided to clients and their familes. A variety of therapeutic approaches are used, including psychodrama, deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, cognitive therapy, genograms, family constellation and early memories. Interns would need to commit to 3-5 hours of family therapy 1-2 days per week. A short resume of previous family work and related education is appreciated.

Description: We are an Advocacy for victims of domestic abuse (legal and community), counseling services for men and boys who are abusive, women survivors, and children who have witnessed/experienced domestic violence. This is a community service, outreach, and education, and we collaboration with other agencies and government. Interns will work 16 - 20 hrs peer week for a minimum of 9 months.
