AGS seeks to admit students who have demonstrated academic preparation by receiving an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, and who display a personal interest in community involvement.
AGS recognizes that applicants have varied academic and work experiences. Many students apply to AGS after a transition and wish to further their education. With this in mind, AGS has created two types of admission: Full Admission and Conditional Admission.
The AGS offers limited support for tuition and fees through a small Partial Scholarship Program. Partial Scholarship opportunities are announced periodically and the criteria used to screen applications are clearly defined.
All applicants for the Master of Arts degree will be expected to submit the following materials for a complete application file by the application deadline:
- Electronic application for Admissions
- Application fee (non-refundable)
- Personal Goal Statement (500 words)
- Three letters of reference (e.g. peer, supervisor, academic instructor)
- Resume or work history
- Official transcripts sent directly from all post-secondary institutions indicating the degree conferred
Supplemental Materials for Online Adlerian Studies:
- A passport sized picture of yourself
- A skype interview will be arranged
The application deadline for enrollment in one of the full MA program tracks is one month before the first day of the session of enrollment (see full year schedule for start dates) .
The application will be reviewed by program staff, additional information will be gathered as needed, a decision will be made, and the student will be informed. Admitted residential students will attend New Student Orientation two weeks before the session begins and Grad School 101 on the Saturday before the start of enrollment. Admitted online students will attend a two-week tuition-free online primer OL101 approximately 2 to 4 weeks before their first session begins.
