Adler Graduate School Alumni Association (AGSAA)
Vision
The Adler Graduate School Alumni Association is a gathering force of Adler Graduate School (AGS) administration, faculty, alumni, the current student body and the community, to maximize their talents and skills to experience and promote social interest.
Mission
AGSAA mission is to create collaborative opportunities for AGS administration, faculty, alumni, the student body, and the community, so that personal growth and professional enrichment is enhanced for all.
Goals and Objectives 2010-2011
1. Formally establish AGSAA’s foundation by documenting its mission, vision, and 2010-2011 goals.
- Encourage participation in AGSAA activities by AGSAA members.
- Establish a formal AGSAA leadership structure and hold regular quarterly meetings.
- Monitor and evaluate AGSAA’s performance.
- Review and update AGSAA’s Webpage with new features and information.
- Conduct alumni survey to assess alumni satisfaction, interests and needs, maintain related records and share findings with AGS alumni and students.
- Periodically request feedback and input of AGSAA members on key issues and decisions.
2. Enhance AGSAA’s role as an advocate, resource, and asset for AGS alumni and students.
- Update the AGSAA online directory semi-annually.
- Create an AGSAA mental health provider directory and provide for annual review and update as necessary.
- Re-establish the AGSAA formal mentoring program for AGS students utilizing AGS alumni.
- Continue to inform and invite AGSAA members to participate in AGSAA’s ongoing educational activities, alumni projects, and volunteer events.
- Develop AGSAA-led educational presentations and workshop events at AGS to enhance professional development and alumni experience.
- Celebrate alumni achievements.
3. Establish and strengthen collaborative partnerships with AGS, administration and other student organizations.
- Support AGS’ resource development efforts.
- Actively encourage alumni to be appropriately engaged in AGS planning, program creation and assessment activities.
- Attend AGS graduation ceremonies, Adler Café events and open houses to show support and build relationships with AGS alumni, students and administration.

The committee members are
dedicated to engage fellow alumni
members and students to build and
deepen their ties to the AGS and
the community.
The mentoring Program was launched on Sunday, May 1, 2011, and was featured in the AGS e-mail newsletter. The mentoring program is a great resource for alumni seeking to contribute in more meaningful ways, stay involved and to make positive difference in students’ lives.
Through this mentoring relationship, students may grow in their personal and professional development. Alumni and students who are interested in mentoring program should contact Priscilla MacDougall, the Mentoring Program Coordinator at agsmentor@mail.alfredadler.edu
