An Event Focusing on Co-Occurring Disorders (Substance Use and Mental Health Counseling)

Join us on November 8 at the Adler Graduate School for an afternoon of Continuing Education in the area of Co-Occurring Disorders, featuring Dr. Jonathan Lofgren, Gary Schoener, Tom Wright and Jeff Lupient - and an evening Open House, featuring a brief update concerning the ongoing development of the Adler Graduate School’s Jim Ramstad Community Service Center, a presentation by Congressman Jim Ramstad concerning Co-Occurring Disorders and the importance of addressing this challenge, and panel of experts, that includes Dr. Jonathan Lofgren, President of MARRCH, Cynthia Godin and Kevin Evenson from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, David Wellstone, a well-known champion for better access to health care services, and John Curtiss, CEO of The Retreat in Wayzata.  Feel free to attend the afternoon Continuing Education, the evening Open House, or both components of this event.

1:30 - 5:30 pm: Continuing Education concerning Co-Occurring Mental Health/Chemical Health Disorders with Dr. Jonathan Lofgren, Gary Schoener, Tom Wright and Jeff Lupient.

5:30 - 7:30 pm: Open House updating development of the Adler Graduate School's Jim Ramstad Community Service Center and introducing AGS new Co-Occurring Disorders Program - featuring a presentation by Congressman Ramstad concerning co-occurring disorders and a panel conversation with other leaders, hosted by Congressman Ramstad including David Wellstone, Cynthia Godin, Kevin Evenson and John Curtiss, all of whom have championed access to mental health and chemical health services.

Refreshments will be served from 5:30 - 6:15pm.

Everyone is encouraged to donate a food item - collection boxes benefiting Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) will be located on site.

"Becoming Wellstone: Healing from Tragedy and Carrying on My Father's Legacy", by David Wellstone will be available for purchase.

The CEU credits are formally approved for LMFT.
