Welcome to Adler Graduate School Library Message

AGS Library Overview

The AGS Library holdings consist of:

  • The Core Adlerian Collection consisting of works by Alfred Adler, Alexandra Adler, Willard and Marguerite Beecher, the Dinkmeyers, Rudolf and Sadie Dreikurs, Eva Dreikurs Ferguson, Jane Nelson, Harold Mosak, Bernard Shulman and others.

  • The Adlerian Journal Collection consisting primarily of the various incarnations of the American Journal of Individual Psychology and several other titles.

  • The General Psychology Collection consisting of a variety of new and old psychology books including the works of Freud, Jung, Frankl, Erickson, Horney and many others.

  • The General Journal Collection including American Journal of  Psychiatry , American Psychologist and various other holdings.

  • The Thesis Collection consisting of the thesis/integrative papers written by AGS students and some faculty thesis

  • The Audio/Visual Collection consisting of a variety of audio and video tapes.

  • AGS Videos Online (starting with Harold Mosak's presentations from 2007 and 2009)

  • Adlerian Digitization Project: An initiative created with a grant from the North American Society for Adlerian Psychology (NĀSAP) to make available to students and practitioners of Adlerian Psychology back issues of NĀSAP journals not available commercially (from 1974 onwards their principle publication, Individual Psychology/Journal of Individual Psychology, is available commerically from EBSCO). This also includes lists of the contents of other English-language Adlerian publications, a link to the website for Zeitschrift für Individualpsychologie, Mosak's Online Adlerian Bibliography and the full-text of several items by Bill Pew (with Mim Pew's permission) and items published by Adler Graduate School (or some previous version thereof). Access to the full-text of the NĀSAP publications requires login credentials, which are available from NĀSAP or from the AGS library.
