Online Resources Available Through AGS:

  • Resources available through EBSCO :  EBSCO is the principle online resource available at AGS. It includes the principle bibliographic indexing databased for the fields taught at AGS; PsycInfo (Psychology), Medline (Medicine, including Psychiatry and Addictions), and ERIC (Education), as well as many supporting resources that provide full-text of articles in many disciplines. These resources are all available at http://search.epnet.com with User ID and Password provided by Adler.

  • American Psychiatric Association materials at http://www.psychiatryonline.com/; including access to all versions of the DSM (I thru IV-TR at present, V in the works) and related books and access to articles in current (1996 to present) issues of their journals (American Journal of Psychiatry, Academic Psychiatry, Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, Journal of Psychotherapy Practice and Research Psychiatric Services, and Psychosomatics). User ID and Password same as for the EBSCO resources.

  • International Journal of Art Therapy full-text access from v. 2 (1997) onwards at http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/title~content=t716100706 with user id and password provided by AGS (NOT the same as for EBSCO or psychiatryonline).

    ELM resources are licensed by the MINITEX Library Information Network with state appropriations to the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office (MHESO) and the Minnesota Department of Children, Families & Learning.
     
  • ELM Resources available from Thomson/Gale: Consulta, Discovering Collection, ¡Informe!—English version, ¡Informe!—Spanish version, InfoTrac Junior Edition, InfoTrac Student Edition, Junior Reference Collection, Kids InfoBits, Professional Collection.   • ELM Resources avaialble from OCLC: WorldCat (The OCLC Online Union Catalog), the world's most comprehensive bibliography, with more than 55 million bibliographic records that represent 400 languages. WorldCat covers information back to 2100 B.C.E. and includes holdings information from libraries across the world. WorldCat now includes the Library of Congress Subject Headings as its thesaurus. It includes records for musical scores, books, serial publications, computer files, Internet resources, sound recordings, archival materials, maps, and visual materials. This resource can be accessed at: http://firstsearch.oclc.org/ with a User ID and Password supplied by Adler (not the same as for EBSCO resources).

  • ELM Resources from ProQuest: ProQuest Newsstand Complete is an accessible and thorough Web-based database with citations and abstracts from over 350 newspapers, over 250 of which provide full text, enabling users to search the latest news from around the world. Coverage, updated daily, of local, state, regional, national, and international newspapers is available, including full text access to 27 major newspapers: the Star Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, Barron's, and USA Today, to name just a few. Access a wide range of articles, not only top news stories, but arts, sports, and entertainment stories as well. These resources can be accessed at: http://proquest.umi.com/login with a ID and Password supplied by Adler (not the same as for EBSCO resources).

  • ELM Resources from NetLibrary Shared Collections. The NetLibrary Shared eBook Collections provide a collection of eBooks in a broad range of subject areas, extending the range and depth of your libraries holdings. By combining time-honored print conventions like "browsing" and "checking out" materials with new functionalities like word searching within a text and electronic note-taking, NetLibrary eBooks help librarians create a more versatile and adaptable learning environment for their users. Over 13,000 eBooks are available to Minnesota residents through the MnLINK gateway (http://www.mnlink.org).

    Free course materials (no credit given) about topics taught at MIT, including Brain & Cognitive Science (including Psychology) and Health Sciences Technology.  Includes syllabus, handouts, a/v materials, reading lists, and tests (with answers)

    Provides excerpts/previews and in some cases full-text of a vast array of books in libraries around the world.
