The program is an online Master of Arts Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy, with an Emphasis in Adlerian Studies. This 48 credit program includes fifteen, three-credit courses and a three-credit Capstone Project. The Online Adlerian Studies Emphasis Area will be delivered almost exclusively through distance education delivery methods. An extended residential weekend is a part of the program.
Additional Training Opportunities for Online Students
Additional training opportunities are available for students enrolled in the online program by taking hybrid courses. Hybrid courses are designed in a way that would allow students to simultaneously complete a portion of two courses residentially (on-campus) in a series of full and half-days within a seven day period. Approximately 20 percent of the coursework will be completed through distant activities before and after residential instruction. The on-campus activities will include seminars, experiential skills-building exercises, demonstrations, and presentations. Distant activities will include reading, quizzes, case presentations, discussion forums, and final academic exercises. These distant activities will be conducted in a manner similar to typical online classes at Adler Graduate School.
Hybrid courses taken in addition to required coursework may be used to satisfy educational requirements for licensure set by various jurisdictions.
The online Master of Arts Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy Emphasis in Adlerian Studies is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
