Testimonials for the Program
“After Intro and Lifestyle, the most Adlerian classes I have taken are the Career Development sequence. They work with the whole person to address the needs of the work task and improve the health and well-being of the individual by helping them align their occupation with their strengths and goals in a socially meaningful way.” -Aaron Pierson
"I attended the Adler Graduate School for the Career Coaching Certification. I had not attended school in many years and did not really know what to expect. I found everyone at Adler to be incredibly personable. It was like being wrapped in a big hug. Not that there wasn't work and studying to be done, there was. But the instructors went out of their way to make learning interesting and applicable. And as you practiced different coaching approaches and techniques on the other students, you got to know each other on a very deep level. I enjoyed every aspect of the coaching program and left knowing that I had learned a tremendous amount and had developed a vision for what I wanted to do next. The confidence, friendships and practical experience I developed in the program were fantastic. But even more than that, I knew I had made connections with people who wanted to see me succeed and would be there to guide and advise me going forward. I would highly recommend this program!" – Anonymous
“The Career Counseling program at Adler has helped me become more confident in my own career navigation as well as providing tools for me which have enabled me to help others in my role of intern at Normandale Community College while I was still in school and in my various roles at Inver Hills Community college that I've had since graduation. In taking several classes together, my cohort was very close knit and supportive of each other and I will always have fond memories of my time with them. My instructors were top notch as well; all were incredibly kind and inspiring and their dedication to my development as a person and counselor didn't just end when the class did. All have helped me in some way since and have given me many reasons to feel grateful. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely still choose the Career Counseling program”! - Shannon Schenck, AGS Class of 2013
