The Certificate in Parent Coach Training is designed to train professionals in one of the fastest growing areas of the parent-family support field. The purpose of the coaching relationship is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive arena for parents to learn new, effective parenting skills.  We’ll talk about coaching parents through divorce, adoption, blending families, grief, competition in school, special education issues, sexuality and challenges with teens.

Working directly with children can sometimes result in frustration, as parents may have made little progress in understanding the real issues behind their child's behaviors. With this certificate you can build skills that enable you to empower parents with easy-to-learn techniques that bring out the best in their children. The courses will provide training in highly effective methods that parents can apply right away. You’ll be able to teach them readily applicable strategies as you lead them to increase their own self-esteem and parenting skills.
