This course builds on the basic Adlerian concepts and adds more applications and depth to the learning in 711. Students will study how Adlerian psychology is useful in personal growth, parenting, friendships, work, love, spirituality, and world peace. Adler recognized the healing power of community and what people go through to find community, to find their place. Equally important is discovering our own unique contributions to humankind and our own development as people. This includes insight into misbehavior, or “useless behavior” as Adler called it and how to respond creatively in such situations. Students discuss and practice applying these concepts and techniques in various areas of life.
