Susan is a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed independent clinical social worker. She is also a state approved supervisor with both licensing boards. She has advanced training in Attention Deficit Disorders and is an expert in that area. Susan was a founder of the Adler Institute in 1968, which later became the Adler Graduate School. She is deeply committed to the principles of Individual Psychology and to the school that she helped found.

Susan has a private practice in Minnetonka, Minnesota where she does psychotherapy and counseling with individuals, couples and families. She also does both coaching and counseling for those with ADHD issues and their families. In addition, she has done public speaking and training throughout the United States and Canada. She has been doing psychotherapy and counseling for over forty years.

Susan has given numerous presentations to the general public, to professional mental health workers, educators, social service organizations and at many state and national conferences.
