Rooted in Adlerian Theory and embracing principles of Multicultural Counseling and Social Justice, our curriculum acknowledges the powerful impact of early experiences on lifelong well-being. Through our specialized coursework, you’ll gain comprehensive, multidisciplinary skills to address the intricate needs of children, adolescents, and their families.
The program places special emphasis on supporting system-involved youth, including those in the criminal justice system and experiencing homelessness. You’ll develop expertise in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including probation officers, child protection services, and other agencies, preparing you to navigate complex systems while advocating for young people’s wellbeing.

Admissions
Admission to the program requires a conferred bachelor’s level or higher degree from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution.
Scope
To add the specialty to your master’s in counseling, or to enroll in either certificate, you will need to complete 18 additional credits of Counseling and Adolescents coursework. Click here for course listing.
